Partnership with Fundación León: Waste Management with Social Impact in Tucumán

At Argreen, we have joined the Solidarity Recycling program, turning materials recovered from our facilities into funding for community development programs.

In line with our commitment to responsible production and environmental protection, we have established a strategic partnership with Fundación León in Tucumán.

Through its Solidarity Recycling program, we integrate the management and recovery of operational waste from our offices and facilities with the financial support of social projects in the region.

This initiative directly reflects a management model focused on three areas of impact:

  • Environmental impact and circular economy: We separate and internally collect materials such as paper, cardboard, and plastic at the source. By doing so, we reduce the volume of waste sent for final disposal and achieve measurable improvements in our internal environmental indicators.
  • Impacto social en el territorio: Cada kilogramo de material procesado se comercializa para financiar becas educativas, kits de primera infancia, compra de elementos ortopédicos y programas de fortalecimiento para familias en situación de vulnerabilidad.
  • Economic and strategic impact: We optimize internal waste management processes, aligning our operations with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria and generating periodic, measurable reports for our sustainability strategy.

Results of Our First Joint Initiative

Operational activities officially began with the first collection of materials in April.

During this initial stage, the teams successfully recovered and sorted a total of:

  • 206 kg of cardboard
  • 97 kg of plastic

The proceeds from the sale of these materials by Fundación León were used to fund operations and purchase supplies for the organization’s Active Aging Center.

This initiative helps sustain the operation of 11 working groups that provide support, cognitive stimulation, and physical activities to 244 participants and their families across the province.

For our company, being part of this network is not an isolated Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, but rather a demonstration that internal logistics and sustainability processes can — and should — become tools for community development in the areas where we operate.
